Prerequisites: No experience required.
Brighten up your weekend with a snazzy new custom cuff bracelet! In this energizing beginning level workshop, you'll learn how to make a wonderfully textured, perfectly fit handmade cuff. Every student will explore a variety of texturing processes including hammer textures, embossing, and stamping and then learn to form and finish it for a comfortable, perfectly fit cuff. Techniques learned will include chasing, forming (including doming), sanding and polishing! Time permitting students will have the option make an additional bracelet in sterling silver for an additional fee (variable due to the state of silver prices). This is a fun class to take with a friend! No experience required.
Materials Kit Includes:
- Copper sheet for texture samples
- 20g copper and brass sheet for two finished cuffs
Students May Bring:
- 20 sterling silver sheet at least 6" long (also available to purchase in class)

Instructor Bio:
Juan Reyes began studying silver smithing in 1995 at North Seattle Community College and since then has developed extensive expertise in a wide range of techniques including lapidary and goldsmithing. He is generous with his knowledge, patient beyond measure and well loved for his helpful, non-judging nature. Juan brings warmth and creativity to every class he teaches.
