One of a kind
Artist Statement: Taking a pause from my body of work addressing the topics of mental health and trauma, I set out to make a ring with no grander purpose than to create something light and fun. Combining my desire to make something mechanical with the arrival of spring, the simple idea of making a blooming flower came into being. Free from the constraints I typically place upon myself, I began freely experimenting with form and function alongside new techniques and materials. The result is a ring born from an engagingly fun challenge and the simple desire to make something beautiful.
