Artist Statement:  

I love science fiction and space themed films.  I also love steam punk imagery and color.  My rockets are inspired by these interests.  

Artist Bio:

Deb Karash creates colorful jewelry by drawing on metal with Prismacolor pencils, a technique more commonly associated with paper. Fascinated by color, texture, geometry, and the natural world, she creates work ranging from organic forms to whimsical rockets and robots. A renowned teacher, Deb shares her innovative techniques worldwide. After arriving in Western North Carolina to teach at Penland School of Craft, she made the mountains her home, where she has continued to create, teach, and inve
