Stephanie Benson | Wood Grain Necklace
Artist: Stephanie Benson
Materials: Handmade Mokumke-gane Bi-metal, rose cut golden star sapphire. Sterling Silver Paper clip chain and handmade clasp
Dimensions: 1 1/2" x 2 1/4", Chain 18"
Origin of featured materials: Shining Wave Metals / Phillip Baldwin
Story behind the piece: After cutting a strip of the copper/silver mokume-gane bar, I bent it and mangled it to try to get some different texture to the bi-metal. Some folds appeared and the effect was a bit subtle.
