Yoko Rover | Stamp Cuff Bracelet
Artist: Yoko Rover
Materials: Silver and Brass
Dimensions: Width 3/4" Size M
Origin of featured materials: Anne Wolf
Story behind the piece: Silver and Brass mokumegane. I stamped from the back and create pattern. This billet has rare combination of silver and brass. I love how it looks like silver and gold.
I have been studied with a great teacher, Anne Wolf and learned about mokume-gane about 4-5 years. Mokume-gane is still distinctive in Japan, and I did not know it until I met her in 2018. Mostly I have made hair pins, pendants and earrings with chiseling, stamping and twisting pattern. Now I have confidents to chisel on large mokume-gane to create bracelet. Also learned making mokume-gane billet in Tokyo, and started to create own mokume-gane using Japanese alloy.
Artist Bio: I am a metalsmith specializing in Mokumegane and sterling silver metal works and jewelry. I grew up in Japan now reside in San Diego, where I craft unique, playful pieces in my home studio. I share my knowledge through street fairs and collaborations, ensuring the legacy of Japanese metalwork continues to inspire.
