Artist Statement: The name of this spinner ring is “Rational Thought is Self Referential.” When we think thoughts, we then think additional thoughts towards determining if the first thought is true. In analyzing our own thinking, we generate a loop that often feels very profound and important, but what if it’s not? This ring creates a visual reminder of going in circles, of ending up right back where you started, and invites the wearer to reflect on how profound or important thoughts really are?
Artist Bio: DeAnna lives in Seattle with her husband and three cats and has experience with many different art mediums. After her first class at Danaca Design in 2020, she quickly fell in love with the large variety of textures and finishes she could achieve in metal. Her interests lie in stone setting and hand-fabricating as many components as possible and making one of a kind pieces.
