Artist Statement: Revolution is a kinetic ring centered on a brilliant checkered-cut white topaz, encircled by a track that carries a vivid Oregon sunstone in continuous motion. The moving stone shifts with the wearer, tracing an ever-changing orbit that plays with light and balance. Fabricated by hand using traditional metalsmithing techniques, this piece explores the relationship between control and movement, capturing a sense of enduring, unconquered light.
Artist Bio: Danielle Giese discovered silversmithing in the late 1990s and is largely self-taught, learning through books, videos, and experimentation. She enjoys working outside traditional rules, often finding creative solutions and making her own tools. Each piece is one-of-a-kind, handcrafted using sterling silver, mixed metals, natural stones, and other materials. Danielle creates with fire, tools, and a love of making - crafting small, thoughtful pieces meant to be worn and enjoyed.
