Artist Statement: 

For so long, I felt the world had been divided.

This ring is me making a wish, as a fine jeweler, begging we all feel seen and understood as one world again. The setting is held by 16 little persons: four hold the stone up; four hold the stone down; eight connecting the 16 together as a whole. Each of them looks up; with an almost hidden smiley face. The ring band is filled with doodle engravings. Oh, and the stone setting can spin.

Yushan Cassie Sun is a fine jewelry artist working with mainly 18k gold and lab-grown or ethically sourced stones. With a studio located in Beijing, China, create one-of-a-kind jewelry to celebrate the wearer’s special occasions. Her goal is to have subtle, practical yet ornate style, that match the wearer’s spirit.
