Pearls

Dimensions: 25"x1.75"x.50", 25" Chain

Origin of featured materials: Shining Wave Metals / Phillip Baldwin

Story behind the piece:  This is a 25" necklace with sterling paperclip chain, cold connected with saltwater peach pearls. The medallion, using Phil Baldwins Mokume, is formed and soldered onto a textured sterling back plate.

I was glad to have taken a class from Anne Wolfe before I made these pieces. It is tricky to work with and you need to not overwork it or get it too hot as it can melt.
Less is more with this material. It is so beautiful that a simple piece is the best way to show it off.

Artist Bio: I have been an artist most of my life but metal and jewelry arts has always been my favorite. I traveled through the country for many years doing juried craft shows. I have worked as an interior designer the past 20 years and now retired I enjoy taking classes and learning new techniques is my favorite art form.
