Artist Statement: I never got to make the classic school volcano project, so I decided I really wanted to make one now before I graduate high school. I figured this was the perfect opportunity! The copper volcano is fully functional for use with baking soda and vinegar as many times as you want (just rinse it off right after), so you can create your own little mass extinction anytime you're feeling cataclysmic. The brass dinosaur is a brontosaurus (my favorite). The bottom of the island and the ring shank are both made of sterling silver for those of us with sensitive skin, and the band size is adjustable.

Artist Bio: I am a senior in high school who started making jewelry only about 3 years ago. I have shown pieces in both the LOBES 2022 and 2023 shows as well as the SMG 2023 biennial show. My goal is to be able to continue making jewelry in college and keep showing my work in shows. Maybe I'll start a club and encourage others to try making jewelry as well!
